本田将在日本建立新厂生产微型车 |

本田表示将“进一步强化其微型车产业”,周二它宣布其中的一个子公司将在日本建立一家新工厂,新厂产能加上原来的老工厂的年产量将达到24万辆。本田称,新工厂将生产前置引擎的Life和Zest车型,而现有工厂将生产中置引擎的Acty和Vamos车型。本田为建立这家工厂将投入相当于4.85亿美元的资金。本田下属的八千代工业公司将于09年在这家工厂开始生产引擎,而车辆的生产将从2010年下半年开始。 Honda Announces New Minivehicle Plant Saying it wants to "further strengthen its minivehicle business," Honda on Tuesday announced that one of its subsidiaries is building a new plant in Japan. Production capacity, when combined with that of an older plant, will total 240,000 vehicles a year. Honda said the new plant will produce the front-engined Life and Zest models, while the existing plant will build the Acty and Vamos midengine models. Honda will invest the equivalent of $485 million to set up the new plant. Yachiyo Industry, a Honda subsidiary, will kick off engine production at the plant in 2009, with vehicle production slated for the last half of 2010. |
