VW will sell China-built car in North America
Volkswagen AG and its Chinese partner plan to assemble a car in China and sell it in North America and China.
The car, a reworked version of the next-generation Passat, will be assembled by Shanghai Volkswagen Co., which revealed the plan here on Wednesday, July 18. Details of the plan, such as timing and sales goals, have not been decided, say spokesmen at Shanghai Volkswagen and Volkswagen.
