铃木汽车公司总裁铃木修（Osamu Suzuki）今天表示，为了扩大公司在印度合资企业的轿车和引擎工厂产量，计划投资16.6亿美元（约合2000亿日元）。铃木目前已经向Maruti Udyog经营的工厂投资了8.323亿美元（约合1000亿日元），而到2010年还将追加16.6亿美元，这将使铃木在印度的年产量从目前的63万辆达到100万辆。
Suzuki to spend $1.6 billion in India by 2010
Suzuki Motor Corp. will invest $1.66 billion (200 billion yen) in its Indian venture as it expands capacity at car and engine plants, Chairman Osamu Suzuki said today.
Already $832.3 million (100 billion yen) has been invested in plants run by Maruti Udyog Ltd., and another $1.66 billion (200 billion yen) will be spent by 2010, taking total capacity to 1 million cars a year from 630,000 now, Suzuki said.
