继著名Windows Mobile设备生产商O2的亚洲部门出售给MWG（Mobile and Wireless Group）之后，在2008年01月03日，MWG对外公布了两款代号为“Zinc II”和“Atom V”的Windows Mobile智能手机。在北京时间2008年02月26日，MWG的Atom V的真机照片在互联网上出现。
